We are seeking an experienced General Medicine Physician with a Rheumatology subspecialty to join the Department of Medicine at Taranaki. The role consists of participation in the acute ward roster (General Medicine) and Rheumatology subspecialty clinics. The roster is a 50% split (3 weeks on 3 weeks off) between General Medicine and Rheumatology (negotiable). Outpatient Rheumatology clinics are supported by two Rheumatology Clinical Nurse Specialists. The role also involves providing advice to general physicians, GP’s, Surgeons. Emergency Medicine Physicians and where required, providing inpatient consultation. The General Medicine inpatient work includes on call responsibilities as per a rotating roster.
