Patient Services per Standard Week

Average inpatients: 0-2 per week
Average consults: 5 per week
Outpatient Clinics: 5 general rheumatology including 5-6 b/tsDMARDs per clinic, all with consultant supervision.
1 Private practice Vasculitis clinic
Outreach – Longreach 2 days per quarter (Dr Barrett)

 

Requirements for On Call / Afterhours (including weekends)

N/A for rheumatology
Participation in General Medicine afterhours roster

 

Education Activities

Educational meetings include dedicated rheumatology educational sessions fortnightly with registrar presentations alternate meetings plus weekly Grand Rounds, Journal Club and general radiology meetings

 

Teaching Responsibilities

Teaching Responsibilities include 3rd year University QLD Medical students, Basic Trainees, assisting with RACP Divisional Written & Clinical Examination preparation and co-organising the Clinical FRACP examination. As part of teaching medical students’ trainees are awarded a clinical title from UQ providing eduroam WiFi and journal access.
