The Australian Rheumatology Journal (ARJ) is a diamond open access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing high-quality, impactful Australian musculoskeletal research.
The ARJ will publish original research articles, systematic and scoping reviews, practice guidelines, research protocols and qualitative research. Audits will also be considered along with narrative medicine in the health humanities.
ARJ will foreground Australian-specific practice issues, including Indigenous health, rural and remote care, and implementation research. ARJ is being developed to serve clinicians, trainees, early-career researchers, allied health professionals, and the broader musculoskeletal and rheumatology community, including people living with musculoskeletal and rheumatic conditions. The journal will be a home for ARA-supported research, Annual Scientific Meeting abstracts, and advanced trainee projects.
The Australian Rheumatology Journal is currently in development, with a dedicated journal website and submission information to be released in the coming months.
