Irwin has been a rheumatologist in private practice in Sydney since 2003.
He is a co-founder of BJC Health, which consists of a team of rheumatologists and allied health professionals combining their different skills to develop effective plans to help people suffering with rheumatic disease regain control of their lives, to become the healthiest version of themselves.
Irwin is passionate about correcting the general lack of awareness and misinformation about arthritis & rheumatic diseases. He has been involved in multiple GP and patient educational initiatives and utilises social media for these activities. He is currently editor for Rheumatology Republic, a newspaper and website aiming to engage the broader rheumatology community.
