Rheumatologist Position in Orange
Expressions of interest are sought for Rheumatologists interested in taking over a well-established patient and referral base at Orange Rheumatology. Services are currently provided by four FIFO rheumatologists, one of whom wishes to retire.
Interested colleagues should consider the many career and lifestyle benefits of rural relocation, including mentoring into the position, the opportunity for VMO consulting rights at Orange BaseHospital and a collegial working environment, in one of New South Wales’ most agreeable regional centres. The Australian Bureau of Statistics identified that the largest regional growth area in 2013-14 was in the Central West SA2 of Orange – North.
The electoral district of Calare comprises a land area of 32,666 km with a population of 165,029, with Orange itself having 41,809 residents as of 2016.
There are no incoming costs. Early-career rheumatologists will be mentored into the position by our four senior rheumatologists. The case load of Orange Rheumatology is heavily biased towards inflammatory arthritis. A highly skilled and experienced practice manager coordinates appointments, biologics applications and other practice functions; there is no requirement for practice management responsibilities. The opportunity exists for an academic appointment with the University of Sydney’s School of Rural Health, with the possibility of undergraduate and post-graduate teaching, as well as clinical research. Though this is envisaged as a full-time position, colleagues who might consider providing FIFO services are most welcome to enquire.
For more information please contact A/Prof Mark Arnold on 0412 356 064, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
ArthritisCARE is a very busy Practice based within close proximity to Brisbane City with onsite patient and staff parking. We are centrally located within 2 minutes of the Princess Alexandra Hospital and 10 minutes from the Greenslopes Private Hospital, as well as the Mater Public and Private Hospitals. With over 35 years of experience our physicians are experts in the management of rheumatic diseases, specialising in the management of inflammatory joint disorders such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis using the latest research and a multidisciplinary approach to optimize our patient care.
Ideally we would be looking for an AHPRA registered/ eligible Rheumatologist Specialist who could start as soon as possible on a full time or part time basis. At present we offer our Rheumatologists to work on a “sub-contract” basis. There are no out of pocket costs as this is a well-established Practice. Our current rooms comprise of three Rheumatologists (two part-time) and friendly long-established practice staff. The current wait for new patients stands at approximately two months. Brisbane is a fast-growing city and this is leading to blow-out wait times for new patients of approximately two months in the private sector.
Please contact Boh on 07 3255 1066.
